My wife owes about 5k but she is still going to be freshman starting over at Rose State (a junior college). We are married filing jointly and EFC was about 980. What can will we receive for the 2008-2009 school year?
Also, is the cap for us as a couple, or will they “cap” us separately at individual limits?

I went to school once I graduated high school. I partied and slept. I went to another school which my mother help pay for me to get there(and the first one). My mother and I had some issues so I moved out. She vowed never to pay for another semester. And so far she has held true to that. We worked through our issues, but that small time that i spent out of her house, I ruined my credit. I have been trying to get it back decent but it is a slow process. Is there anything that I can do to get financial aid? Or just monies to better my credit?

Well, I’ve already done all this. I’ve done my parents tax information, and mine. I just don’t understand how they assume that if you’re under 25, you still need your parents tax information.
